50 Cent Plays With Fans’ Emotions, Claims ‘Power’ Season Six Won’t Be Final Season
On Tuesday (June 25), 50 sent out a tweet that threw off fans who expected the show to come to an end this year. He bluntly states that he changed his mind about ending the show and asserts that the Starz series will return after season six.
"I Changed my mind POWER is not going to be over after season 6. This shit is to good ♂️ #lecheminduroi #bransoncognac #starzplay," 50 said in a tweet featuring a photo of himself.
This is an obvious 180 from his previous decision about ending the series starring Omari Hardwick and Naturi Naughton. On May 9, the New York City native hopped on his Instagram account to inform Power fans that the show will end after season six.
"Augs25 starts Season 6 is the final season of POWER. I have 4 spinoff shows coming so don’t trip Starz #lecheminduroi #bransoncognac," 50 wrote in the caption for the post.
Despite his latest declaration, the Starz network has yet to confirm 50's claims. In fact, the show's co-creator Courtney Kemp seemed to confirm that the series was ending in an Instagram post uploaded earlier this month.
"Thank you cast, crew, fans and most of all GOD for this experience, for all the tears and laughs on this set. Goodbye to the penthouse for the final time. I remember the first time we shot there and last night I was there for the last. It’s really the end, y’all. #powertv #season6 #penthouse #gratitude," Kemp wrote on Instagram on June 6.
However, according to 50, the show may possibly go on. XXL has reached out to 50's camp for comment. Check out his post below.
