Actress Ellia English Talks About The Final Season Of “Curb Your Enthusiasm”
You've Seen Singer, Dancer, Stage And TV/Film actress Ellia English On Lots Of Shows Including The Classic Sitcom "The Jamie Foxx Show" as Aunt Helen.
English also has been seen in a reoccurring role as Auntie Rae on the hit HBO comedy series "Curb Your Enthusiasm" starring Seinfeld creator Larry David.
The show is preparing to air its 12th and final season.
The role started in 2007 with English as a member of the “Black” family, a family of hurricane evacuees who take refuge in Larry's house upon his wife Cheryl's invitation to adopt a family. Other members of the Black family are Leon (J.B. Smoove) and Loretta (Vivica A. Fox) and her children Daryl (Nick Nervies) and Keysha (Carla Jeffery).
English Has Also Appeared In Many Roles Throughout Her Career.
Some of her most famous roles include Aunt Helen on The Jamie Foxx Show, Auntie Rae on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mary Lou Wentz, on Disney’s Good Luck Charlie, Henny on Lifetime’s Movie of The Week Petals On The Wind, and as Nurse Isabel Mendez on CBS’s Code Black.
