For generations, the proper greeting amongst folks has been a good, firm, handshake. But with what's going on in the world right now, that's not the best option. So what does someone do to greet their friends and neighbors in this time of social distancing?

Well, you can always wave at each other.

A greeting that is catching on during this pandemic is the Wuhan shake. It's simply taping the insides of your feet together.

The elbow tap is also an option, although that would violate the six foot distancing rule.

I suggest we all greet each other with the salute of the most logical person in the universe, Spock. And his people's greeting delivers a nice message, too, "live long and prosper." Yes, I am speaking of the Vulcan salute. It is simply putting your pinky and ring finger and index and middle finger together with your thumb pointing out. Simple, easy and the perfect friendly greeting, from a distance, to keep everyone healthy.
