This Memorial day weekend the state of Texas will be Re-Opening under "Phase 2" of Governor Greg Abbott's "Open Texas" order.

Just like YOU I am also tired of this COVID-19 pandemic and having 'Cabin Fever.'  However, we are not alone as a new study revealed almost half of the American population are ready to get out and enjoy life after this pandemic.

Yahoo Finance revealed a study through Piper Sandler revealed that just under 47 percent said they're more than likely to go to restaurants once they reopen and while that is just under half it's encouraging news after it was 60 percent in their April survey.

Also, the study showed that 63 percent said they would be more sensitive to eating in crowded restaurants has also risen to 62 percent last month.

Now while restaurants are doing curbside, and takeout even though they shut down dining in a good 50 percent has said they currently going to restaurants for pick up or drive-thru service.

The following businesses like child care centers, massage/personal care centers, and youth clubs will open and this Friday (May 22nd) the following business will open at 25% capacity.

  • Bars
  • Bowling Alleys
  • Rodeo Events
  • Zoos

Even though the economy is slowing getting back on track I am still uncomfortable going to a restaurant to sit down for a meal and only time will tell if I am not alone.
