The home going celebration for the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, will be held in Detroit, Michigan on Friday (August 31st), and while it’s for family and invited guests her fans from all over will be able to attend via news networks.

According to Billboard, CNN and Fox News will cover the services as well as local outlets per the Click on Detroit.

Artist performing at her services are Steve Wonder, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia, Shirley Caesar, Chaka Khan, Ron Isley and a host of others will pay tribute to Franklin at her funeral.

Also, a tribute concert will be held on Thursday (August 30th), which will feature performances from Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, The Clark Sisters, Shirley Caesar and more.  The tickets for this show are already sold out!

Aretha Franklin passed away from pancreatic cancer on August 16th and her family has released a statement expressing their sadness, which states,

In one of the darkest moments of our lives, we are not able to find the appropriate words to express the pain in our heart. We have lost the matriarch and rock of our family. The love she had for her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins knew no bounds.

The funeral will be held at Greater Grace Temple at 10 a.m.
