Ashanti Tests Positive For COVID-19, Verzuz Postponed

After much anticipation and hype, we all were left high and dry this past Saturday night as the highly anticipated Verzuz battle between R&B stars Ashanti and Keyshia Cole was postponed after Ashanti tested positive for COVID-19.

The news broke less than an hour before the battle was set to go live and the two stars quickly jumped on Instagram Live to apologize to their fans and announced that the battle will be rescheduled to January 9th.

While many fans sent Ashanti their well wishes for a speedy recovery, others pointed out that Ashanti, in the days leading up to the battle, was busy flying around traveling during a pandemic and should have done more to protect herself from COVID. Others went as far as to accuse her of being "scared" of the number of hits Keyshia has compared to her.

Either way, we do wish Ashanti a speedy recovery but this is also another reminder that you need to wear a mask and protect yourself. I'm going to keep it 100 with you though chief....I don't think I want to see the rescheduled battle because WE ALREADY HAD OUR OWN!
