If you haven't seen the TVOne True Crime series "ATL Homicide", you have to check it out. The show is a fascinating deep dive into the partnership of Atlanta Police detectives David Quinn and Vince Velasquez and the stories on how they solved some of their toughest cases over their long careers.

It when it comes to matters involving law enforcement, I always turn to Detectives Quinn and Velasquez because I appreciate their insight and perspective. I have had the great pleasure of talking to these brothers several times through the years and I was definitely looking forward to getting their perspective on something going on in Texas.

As you may or may not know, on September 1, Texas will begin "constitutional carry" which would allow anyone 21 or over to carry a handgun without a permit, a law which is controversial on some fronts due to the increased gun violence in the country.

I wanted to get the perspective of law enforcement, especially the perspective of LEO's from outside of the state, on how they felt such a law would be viewed in their eyes. We always discuss the brand new episodes of ATL Homicide which debuts on Monday night at 8:00 PM CST on TVOne.

Check out my interview with them on The Melz On The MIC Podcast available now On Demand below:
