You and your family are invited to attend the Texas African American Museum’s 1619 Parade and the 1619 TAAM Festival this Saturday (Oct. 26). The parade will start at New Days Community Church, located at 901 N. Broadway Ave. in Tyler and will end at the T.B. Butler Fountain Plaza in downtown Tyler. The parade kicks off at 9 am tomorrow. The festival will follow the parade from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to TylerPaper.com. There will be 35 vendors at the festival. There will also be a health fair sponsored by UT Tyler’s Ben and Maytee Fisch College of Pharmacy. The Texas African American Museum is a not-for-profit, run by the Texas-based nonprofit, Empowerment Community Development Corp.
