It all started on a dark and stormy night in the middle of a cornfield in Northern Illinois. OK, I have no idea if it was dark and stormy the night I was born, and it was in the comfort of a modern hospital, not a cornfield. I just wanted to build the drama. Hey y’all, it's Big Stew! I know a lot of you want to know all about me, but my story isn’t that exciting! While I was born in Illinois, Florida has been my home since the age of 12. I was very fortunate to grow up in in Central Florida with the beaches, Disney World, and all the other wonderful amenities the weather offers there year round. I started my radio career in Daytona Beach in 1992 fresh out of high school, and had the opportunities to work for some great stations all over America! Chattanooga, Dothan, Montgomery, Nashville, Gainesville, and Orlando are some of the highlights of my time in radio. The entire time I spent in country music as well (I wouldn’t have it any other way). When the opportunity came about to head to Texas, I thought to myself, “I hear the stars at night are big and bright there!” I wasn’t disappointed! I love the BBQ, the higher speed limits, the lower prices of fuel, and of course, all the wonderful culture here in East Texas. I hope you’ll join me every afternoon on KNUE for some good ole fashioned fun! You will find me there from 3 to 7 p.m. daily. Call in, say hello, let's visit and get to know each other!
