The job of a U.S. Border Patrol officer in Texas might be the most difficult and dangerous of any job anywhere in the country.

It is a constant fight of people trying to do illegal things and get away with it.

Sure, there are lots of people crossing the Texas-Mexico border legally, but there are many others that are trying to traffic people or drugs.

2 Cocaine Smugglers Caught at Texas Border Back-to-Back Days

According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website there were two days in a row in which cocaine smugglers were caught trying to bring big loads of cocaine into the United States.

We are talking about Saturday March 1st and Sunday March 2nd, these smuggling operations were at different ports of entry, but each one ended with over 25 lbs. of cocaine being seized by officers.

The first incident was on March 1st, 2025, at the Anzalduas International Bridge where a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse was referred for a secondary inspection.

The inspection included CBP canines and after further examination there were 10 packages discovered carrying 25.92 pounds of cocaine. These drugs would have a street value of around $346,000.

More Cocaine Seized on March 2nd in Texas

The second cocaine seizure in as many days took place at the Presidio port of entry where 27 pounds of white power was in a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old male U.S. resident.

His 2018 Nissan Rogue was sent for a secondary exam where officers discovered 10 bundles concealed in the floorboard area.

The driver was arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations to face federal charges.
