Brandy v Monica Verzuz Battle TONIGHT!
TONIGHT, Monica and Brandy are reuniting and finally giving us what we've wanted for years... a verse for verse, melody for melody, vocal battle by two of the best female R&B artists in the industry.
After almost twenty years, the R&B powerhouses will battle it out for the next episode of Verzuz, the web series which sees industry titans facing off in a friendly battle of music dominance.
The two first shared the stage and spotlight in 1998 with the smash hit, “The Boy Is Mine,” which became an instant-classic duet between Brandy and Monica about two women vying for the same man. However, no sooner than the song blew up, the industry and media, alike, perpetuated a real-life feud between the two R&B songstresses, leading to long-lasting tensions and lines drawn in the sand between the two ladies. Here's what Monica told Entertainment Tonight.
“We've long removed ourselves from the dramatics of it but we're gonna have a very in-depth conversation that may possibly be shared even with the audience because there's a lot that happens, the fans have no idea what really took place, what really caused the initial friction
