When you plan on making an escape from jail all you can leave with is the clothes that are on your back and that's exactly what happened in Cass County, Texas Monday evening. Authorities in East Texas continue their search for an escaped inmate from the Cass County Jail. Law enforcement warns this escaped inmate could be armed and extremely dangerous. He is already wanted for multiple felonies.

Cass County Judge Travis Ransom says Charles Spraberry has been on the run since breaking out of jail around 7:45 p.m. Monday and he was last seen wearing his boxer shorts and a white t-shirt. That's it, boxers and a t-shirt.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office is being supported by other agencies as the search for Spraberry got underway last night and continues this morning. Cass County Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Barbara McMillon says the search continues, however, due to the nature of the suspect and his ties to the area, law enforcement is not commenting on the details of the search right now or their capabilities. Judge Ransom says in an update on his Facebook page, "I cannot comment as to capabilities of our law enforcement partners or the specifics of this ongoing incident other than to say the subject is still at large and every effort is being made to locate him and bring him to justice."

So why was Charles Spraberry behind bars before escaping from the Cass County Jail?

Charles Spraberry was being held at the Cass County Jail on a charge of double homicide in Atlanta, Texas. Officials believe he is responsible for shooting two people to death and then setting their RV on fire. While on the run for this alleged crime, the suspect stole a vehicle from the Texarkana area and was captured after a massive two-day manhunt ending in Beauregard Parish in Louisiana. According to KTAL, he also has five additional warrants from an unrelated case back in March for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault/family violence using strangulation.

Call 9-1-1 if you see this fugitive.

Do not attempt to apprehend this escaped jail inmate, he is considered extremely dangerous.
