Cee-Lo Green became the subject of widespread speculation and concern on Saturday (Dec. 17.) When footage surfaced online that appeared to show a mobile phone exploding while someone resembling the Grammy-nominated rapper/singer was on it, fans reacted with shock and concern. But Cee-Lo addressed the situation via Facebook later on Saturday explaining that the footage was for a new project and that he hadn't really been injured.

"Hey y'all, listen," he said on-camera. "I just want to let everybody know that I am alive and I am well and I'm OK. Truthfully, I'm really upset that anybody had to be emotionally disturbed by what they saw today. Actually what you saw today was a clip from a smaller video that we were shooting for a new project that I'm doing called Gnarly Davidson. It's supposed to set up and introduce the new character identity. I'm still going to release the music, but first and foremost to everybody that love me and care about me, I just wanted to let you know that I'm OK. And I just want to thank everybody for their love and support and concern."

The Atlanta star, assuring fans that he wasn't hurt in any way, made it clear that he was fine.

'I've had  very difficult day dealing with everything, y'all bear with me," he added. "Much love, thank y'all."
