Dallas-Area Police Officer Accidentally Shoots Son

There has been another officer-involved shooting in Dallas!This time, an officer shot his own son. The shooting happened on Saturday, just after 6 pm. Neither the officer nor his son's name has been released. According to EastTexasMatters.com, the officer thought his son was a burglar. The son was shot in his right forearm. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

This is the third recent "accidental" shooting by a Dallas/Fort Worth area officer. Two weeks ago, Aaron Dean, a Fort Worth officer shot and killed Atatiana Jefferson, who was in her own home baby-sitting. He has been charged with murder. Former Dallas officer Amber Guyger also "accidentally" shot Botham Jean, claiming that she thought she was in her house. She was convicted murder and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
