Dallas Rapper Says He Was Arrested For Carrying Hand Sanitizer
"That's On Me Baby" rapper Yella Beezy was arrested and charged with drugs and weapons charges. This is the second arrest for the Dallas rapper this year. Just six months ago he was arrested on weapons charges in Dallas in February of this year. Yella says that this is all a set up and is claiming his innocence.
Last week Yella Beezy posted a video on his social media showing law enforcement searching a car. In the video you can see red and blue flashing lights and cops digging into the trunk and passenger door. The SUV was pulled over on the side of the road and Yella Beezy captioned it "They stay fwm".
On Wednesday, officers arrested Yella Beezy and he was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor and unlawful carrying of a weapon which is a felony. Yella says they have it all wrong because he did not have any drugs on him. According to Yella, it was just a bottle of hand sanitizer and once they run the test on the substance they will have to drop all the charges.
On Friday, Yella hopped on social media again and explained that the officers thought that the bottle of hand sanitizer was a bottle of codeine and promethazine hydrochloride cough syrup, also known as "lean". Yella said that lady that created the bottles for the hand sanitizer brought several bottles to the police station to prove his innocence but it fell on deaf ears because the police were not trying to hear it.
It's unfortunate that he is having to go through all of this and I am curious to see the outcome of it all.
