DMX has opted to check out of house arrest and into rehab with hopes of bettering himself.

In July of this year, DMX ran into major troubles with the IRS, and the feds hit the Rough Ryder rapper with 14 counts of tax evasion, according to TMZ. When he violated bail conditions by flunking multiple drug tests for coke and weed, in addition to arriving a half hour late to court, the judge granted him mercy and placed him on house arrest.

In effort to take full advantage the judge's decision, DMX decided to forsake the comfort of his own home in pursuit of treatment for substance abuse at a facility in New England. Sources say he is even allowed to go to the facility without wearing a GPS ankle monitor.

DMX admitted that house arrest wasn't working for him and his decision was based on doing something positive that would better himself.

While undergoing rehabilitation, DMX said, "My pen is still to the paper and I'm in Beast Mode." We can't wait to see the multi-talented rapper emerge with a whole new attitude on life and a wealth of club rockers and party anthems.
