East Texas Hoopers: BIG3 Hosting Tryouts In Dallas May 27th

This Saturday in Tyler, I'm going to be broadcasting live from the "Kings Of The Court" 3 on 3 basketball tournament at the Glass Recreation Center. The tourney begins at 9:00 AM and I start getting busy at 10:00 AM and if you're a hooper, you better get it in because your chance to go pro is right around the corner.

The BIG3 League which was started by legendary hip hop star Ice Cube, is entering its 4th season and for the first time, its hosting open tryouts to give players with hoop dreams a chance to get invited to the league's combine to compete for a shot at going pro.

According the league's website, you must be at least 22 years of age. The cost to tryout is $500 and players will receive a BIG3 jersey and shorts, as well as additional league gear. Players will be evaluated by BIG3 staff including former NBA players and coaches.

At least 5 players from the tryout will receive an all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas to compete in the BIG3 combine for a chance to get drafted into the league this summer.

The tryout happens in Dallas on May 27th at Jermaine O'Neal's Drive Nation Sports beginning at 10:00 AM. Make sure you get registered before May 26th. Good luck and we hope to see on the court!
