The winter storm that has affected a good portion of East Texas for the past few days will continue to do so overnight tonight and into the early hours of Thursday morning. Winter Storm Warnings continue for northwestern and western East Texas until 9 a.m. Thursday and we'll all experience some cold rain again Thursday. Rain could be heavy at times. There is a Flash Flood Watch in effect until 9 p.m. Thursday for a good portion of East Texas.

Because of all the freezing rain that we have seen over the past couple of days, many trees have taken out power lines and many portions of East Texas are without power. School districts across East Texas have made decisions to either delay the beginning of classes for Thursday, February 2nd or cancel classes altogether for various reasons including hazardous driving conditions or no power at the campuses.
