Started by the "Godfather" of Go-Go music Chuck Brown his documentary is diving into the rich history of Go-Go music founded in Washington D.C. will take you on a journey through history and address how the music served as a platform for African-Americans to elevate and address issues such as class struggles, gentrification and the music's impact on black culture.

I had to opportunity to talk to some of D.C.'s finest Sugar Bear from the group EU known for the 80's classic hit "Da Butt" and the Legendary DJ Kool "Let Me Clear My Throat" to get more in site on the history of the Go-Go sound.

They discuss how the unique sound of Go-Go music infused with funk, hp hop, Afro-Latin beats turn into a world wide sound.
