It sounds like the plot of a horror movie, but this is real life. Police in Davis, California are investigating the possibility that a high-school student made cookies that included human cremains in the recipe and handed them out to unknowing classmates to eat.

According to CBS News, several students at DaVinci High School are thought to have possibly consumed the cookies containing ashes of one of the student's grandparents.

So far police say they've heard no reports of anyone getting harmed by eating the cookies in any way, but they are working to confirm that two high-school students were part of the morbid plan, and once that happens they say they'll have to decide what charges to bring.

As for the cookies they haven't been tested yet to confirm or deny the inclusion of human ashes in them.

I'll stick to store bought cookies from this moment on!
