With the recent departure of Aerosmith frontman, Steven Tyler, and triple-threat star, Jennifer Lopez, American Idol is in desperate need for judges. Fox execs are rumored to be talking to one of the biggest singers in R&B history to be the next 'Idol' judge ... Guess who?

When asked if she was interested in judging for Idol, Ms. Franklin responded, "Yes, I am interested to be a judge!"

The 70-year-old singer is best known for her Motown sound with hits such as "Natural Woman," "R.E.S.P.E.C.T." and "Chain of Fools."

We think this would be a great move for Aretha Franklin and hope she's offered one of the biggest Idol contracts in the show's history!
