First It Was Red Lobster And Now Another Big Chain Of Restaurants Are Suddenly Closing Down Locations In Texas.

The cost of everything continues to creep up due to "inflation" (its really GREED because most corporations are reporting RECORD PROFITS because they are raising prices because they can, but they blame 'inflation' because the average American doesn't know any better) and many Americans are skipping out on dining out.

This has lead to issues for big chains like Red Lobster, Chili's and Applebee's who have closed dozens of locations across the country in an effort to stay alive. Now you can add another one to the list.

Hooters Abruptly Closed 40 Locations Across The Country.

The chain known for its "wings" and "waitresses" in short shorts has reportedly closed several "underperforming" locations including one in Wichita Falls, TX on Sunday (June 23) according to a report from Texoma's Home Page.

3 More Texas locations also shut down recently including locations in Bryan, Seabrook and McAllen, Texas as part of a bigger slate of some 40 closures in several states including Florida, Kentucky and Virginia.

The chain has been struggling for years.

Despite declining numbers since the pandemic, the company, which has been in operation for over 40 years, said in a press release that they still plan on opening up more locations in the U.S. and abroad and a new line of Hooters "frozen products" that have launched in grocery stores.

If we're being perfectly honest here, if you've been in a Hooters recently, you've probably seen that there's a severe lack of "hot chicks" wanting to be "Hooters Girls" now a days and a lot of locations were really underperforming for that reason. With all due respect to Wichita Falls, Bryan, Seabrook and McAllen, those aren't necessarily cities known for having "hooters material" women around.
