Hey Jefferson, Texas, we're halfway to the spooky season!  Wait.  That's nothing new to y'all though thanks to the historic Jefferson Hotel and their full-time guests that seem to never leave and are always up to something. So, I'll rephrase it, Hey Kilgore, Texas we're halfway to spooky season and if you want a good scare we have the perfect place for you to go to do that while getting your adrenaline pumping.

If you're a Halloween fanatic and love the thought of going through a haunted house with your senses on heightened alert then you're in luck. There is a limited engagement haunted house that is opening up to celebrate the halfway mark to the spooky season.

Take a road trip to Houston to get your scare on May 12th and 13th.

The 13th Floor haunted house in Houston is opening up so that you can remember what it was like to be scared by zombies, ghosts, and goblins and so that you never forget that feeling.

In addition to the full-scale haunted house, there will be 'uniquely themed attractions and add-on experiences'. Now this is apparently an extremely scary haunted house because it comes with a disclaimer for young kids. They say some of the experiences or visuals may be too intense for children under 12.

If you can make the trip and want to get scared, you might want to go ahead and purchase your tickets ahead of time and maybe take advantage of the skip-the-line option they offer.

East Texas area haunted houses.

If you can't make the trip to Houston next weekend, you'll have to patiently wait until the spooky season officially comes arrives again this fall to hit up World Of Khaos in Tyler, Doc Wilkes House Of Horrors in Longview, Thrillvania Haunted House Park in Terrell, Terror Trails in Yantis, Graystone Haunted Manor in Longview and the others that'll be looking to give you the scare of your life!
