And sometimes that includes just making sure there is enough food to eat.

Why Many East Texas Families Need Help This Summer

With the school year coming to an end soon many parents are trying their best to provide for their children but it’s difficult. During the school year, some parents can rely on schools to be able to provide lunch, but when summertime rolls around, they may not know what to do.

The good news is that the East Texas Food Bank Summer Food Program is here to help by providing both breakfast and lunch at several locations throughout their service area.

Who Qualifies for Free Summer Meals

This amazing program offers free food to children 18 and younger. There is no need to register, and no proof of income is required to get a free meal.

Last year, more than 88,000 meals were provided at 43 locations for kids who would have otherwise gone without food.
