Honestly, no law enforcement officer in Texas is going to take you to jail for throwing something in the garbage that shouldn’t have gone in there. But if we know there are certain items that should not be thrown away in our normal garbage can then we should do our best to dispose of those items in another way. Because while the police might not haul us to jail, our garbage pickup company could fine us if we continue to make the same mistake, which will make the job of their employees more difficult.  

While I have to admit that I have never worked for a garbage company myself, I have a couple buddies that I play fantasy sports with, and I will say they are some hard-working people. And while most of us don’t put much thought into the items that we are throwing away, we should try to make their job a little easier just by paying attention to the few items that are not allowed to be thrown into a normal garbage can in Texas.
