Whenever I find myself yet again staring out of work-a-day windows and dreaming of driving off into the wild blue yonder, one of the places I ponder going continues to be the Texas Hill Country.

I've always loved this area, like so many people, whether they be native Texans or from elsewhere. It has a special kind of magic like no place else. It's hard for me to pick a favorite area to go to in the Texas Hill Country.

I love Fredericksburg, Boerne, Austin, Texas and so many others, that I would be hard-pressed to pick. The only thing that could make another visit to any of the cities in the Texas Hill Country even better? Well, perhaps staying somewhere that just adds that little extra something.

Granted sometimes we just want to stay in a well-known hotel that we love or at least know is consistently comfortable and in the exact location we want to be so we can get out and explore.

At the same time, sometimes the place we stay can be part of the adventure when visiting the Texas Hill Country.
