  • Melissa Radke, comedian, speaker, and author of "Eat Cake. Be Brave." from Lufkin, Texas polls teachers about Christmas.
  • This 6-minute and 32-second video also offers her insight into what your child's teachers do want for Christmas.
  • Many of her followers have weighed in on the subject both positively and negatively.

Melissa Radke, wearing a sparkly blue Christmas sweater with the word 'Sparkle" on the front,  sent out a video on December 7, 2023 with a "very, very, important Christmas message from your child's teacher".

She starts the message by relating that she is speaking up for teachers who can't say anything about this issue for fear of getting blasted on social media and being punished by school administrators.

According to Radke, she polled hundreds of teachers on her Instagram page to create the list. She goes on to tell us the things that teachers do not want from you or your kids for Christmas.

Things Your Child's Teachers Do Not Want For Christmas

  • Candy cane spoons from TJ Maxx.
  • Maud Borup reindeer hot cocoa mix cone.
  • Candles
  • Body/Hand lotion
  • Personalized Christmas ornaments
  • Apple-shaped ornaments
  • Homemade Stuff/Cookie Mix

Radke goes on to give us a list of suggestions and things that your child's teachers DO want for Christmas.

  • Gift cards from Starbucks, Sephora, Amazon, Ulta, Chick-fil-A, Papa John's, and movie theaters.
  • Pedicure gift cards, with the suggestion to get eleven other moms to coordinate so she will have one every month of the year.

Comments from her followers about the subject are on both sides of the issue.
