Excuse me while I hop up on my soapbox.

I can’t say it enough – I love to put the pedal to the metal as much as anyone. I was involved in plenty of races when I was a younger lad.

But even as a young, dumb dude, I knew to take it out to a wide-open country road with no other cars in sight when it came time to see whose ride was the fastest. So, it grinds my gears when I see someone putting others at risk by speeding through traffic on a busy highway.

However, based on the high volume of street racing videos I have seen come out of the biggest cities in Texas, many people don’t feel the same way.

Most of the clips I’ve come across have been third-person views from someone’s dashcam who wasn’t involved in the race. I don’t recall ever seeing a POV video from the person who was driving recklessly. Probably because it serves as evidence of a crime they committed.

But there’s a first time for everything. So, sit back and watch as someone weaves in and out of traffic on a busy North Texas highway before ultimately losing control.
