Looks like quite a few Texas car owners need to clean their rides.

I’ll go ahead and confess to not deep-cleaning my pickup as regularly as I should. Clutter drives me nuts, so I always keep it neat. But I would be lying if I said I deep-cleaned it on a regular basis.

Often, I will run it through the car wash and call it good. So, I have no business judging the cleanliness of anyone’s vehicle. I’m merely reporting the findings of a recent poll by Panda Hub.

When it comes to deep-cleaning their vehicles, 15.5% of Texans who responded to the poll said they almost never deep clean their vehicles. While that’s not a large percentage, it still equates to about 3.2 million car owners, which is roughly the populations of Houston and Austin combined. Yikes.

Another interesting fact the poll found is that 16.8% of respondents admitted to letting their cars become disgusting. Not a little on the dirty side – disgusting. I don’t know how those folks could stand to be in their vehicles.

The poll also found that nearly half of Texans (45.5%) admit to regularly eating in their vehicles. That’s not a big deal to me as long as they clean up after they’re done. No one wants to roll around smelling like a months-old Happy Meal.

Oh yeah – the poll also found a whole lot of Texans like to get it on in their vehicles. 55.4% of respondents admitted to committing sexual acts in a car. Good luck not thinking about that the next time you climb into your friend’s passenger seat.
