(East Texas) The manhunt continues in East Texas for a murder suspect who did not show up for his court date Monday in Kaufman County court. He was due in court to face charges stemming from a Kaufman County murder that happened in 2023.

Upon learning of the suspect's non-compliance with his court date, authorities spread out across two East Texas counties looking for him. He was out of jail on a $2 million bond and had been wearing a GPS monitoring device.

Who are the authorities looking for?

Trevor McEuen did not show up for his court date, and now authorities want to know where he is. He is wanted on multiple charges, including:

  • capital murder
  • murder
  • aggravated assault with deadly weapon (multiple charges)

After missing his court appearance, law enforcement went to his home to arrest him. Officers searched for him in an area east of Grand Saline along US Highway 80. At the residence, officers noticed his ankle monitoring device had been removed and left behind. This immediately revoked his bond. Authorities then issued a warrant for his arrest.

There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to his arrest

If you know where Trevor McEuen may be hiding, you are encouraged to call the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office at 469.376.4500 and report this information to the authorities. You may remain anonymous.

McEuen is wanted in connection with the death of a Van Zandt County man who was found shot to death by his truck in May 2023. According to CBS 19, McEuen was re-arrested for bond violations in September 2024 for threatening family members of the deceased and posting pictures of the family on Instagram, and that's when his current bond was set at $2 million.
