Each season brings us something new in Texas. The first thing we think about is the temperature change. I mean, that's natural right? We can't wait for fall to hit because we're dying for those cooler temps. But when spring comes, we welcome that warmth with open arms.

We look for the leaves changing color, then the grass growing back green. We think about the travel and how it'll be affected in those cooler months due to snow and other things. But there's always something we have a tendency to forget about.

Bugs, insects, critters, creepy crawly things. With each season, we are introduced to new ones that pop up out of the ground and create havoc for us in so many ways. We start finding them in droves outside, and some of them are even brave enough to come inside your home.

You immediately want to grab the bug spray and just start spraying away outside. All around the house you go and you feel good about the fact that you're doing what you can to keep them away.

A week later however, you wake up and start finding them inside the house. Different areas of the house, and several of them at a time. You just sprayed though, how is this possible? Well, there's one little thing you forgot.

You want to start with spraying the INSIDE of your home first. See, some of these bad boys will find those crevices inside the home, and others are living underground. If you spray the outside, the poison will keep them away from there, but they're looking for somewhere to go.

Those ones still underground will begin to work they way in through pipes, drains, vents, etc. and because you didn't spray those areas inside as well as the interior perimeter of the home, they're going to show up as unwanted visitors.

So just a reminder that if you're going to spray your home, do one of two things. One, spray the inside first and all the areas they could creep in through if you're going at it alone. Two, hire a professional. They have the good stuff, and they know exactly what they're doing.
