There Is Now A Video Game You Can Play About Voting In Texas
With the upcoming presidential election, there has been a lot of tension in Texas about the vote itself. So much so in fact, that we keep hearing stories about things like voter intimidation or the Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton doing some very strange things.
Now, whether or not all this stuff is true, who knows. I'm sure some of it is verifiable while some of it isn't. Because of it though, someone has decided to have a little bit of fun at Texas' expense when it comes to voting inside the state.
Texas Public Radio has gone ahead and produced a little video game about voting in Texas, and I have to say it's rather entertaining and hilarious.
The game is simply called, “Voting In Texas: The Game” and it takes you through a journey of what it's like to try and vote in Texas. It all starts with the simple question of whether or not you want to vote. Once you select that you do, the game takes off from there.
Conceptually, the game is all about going from your residence and trying to safely make it to a polling station without running into obstacles. As we've seen in Texas, this isn't always an easy thing to do.
Along the way, you'll encounter things voters are challenged with trying to get to the polling station, the difficulty with getting registered to vote in Texas, and things such as voter intimidation.
While the game is more for entertainment purposes than anything, it does give a true look on the difficulty of voting in Texas and how passionate people get over trying to get their person elected.
If you want to try out the game, just click here. You'll find the interactive game right at the top of the page.
