Texas musicians that have been murdered

When we think of murdered musicians; some of the biggest names in music history include John Lennon from the Beatles, Tupac Shakur, Marvin Gaye, Jam Master Jay & the list goes on & on.

When we think of TEXAS musicians that have been murdered, the two biggest names that come to mind, without a doubt, includes the Queen of Tejano Music, Selena, who the world lost in 1995 at the young age of 23.

And the world of metal certainly knows the name: Dimebag Darrell. The world has never been the same since his murder at the Alrosa Villa nightclub in Columbus, Ohio on December 8, 2004. To this date, it still remains as one of the only times where a musician was murdered on stage during a performance.

While Selena & Dimebag are certainly the most well known, they are not the only Texas musicians that have been murdered in history. You can easily find names in the world of jazz, country & hip hop that the world lost way too soon.

R.I.P. to Selena, Dimebag, & all of these talented musicians whose lives were cut short.
