
Jay Z And Rihanna Unite To Donate $2 Million To Support COVID-19
The hip hop community is coming together to assist those affected with the coronavirus.
Funds received from the Shawn Carter Foundation will support undocumented workers, children of parents on the frontline healthcare workers and first responders, and incarcerated, elderly, and homeless people in New York and Los Angeles.
Gloria Carter released a statement
In times of crisis it is imperative that we come together as one community to ensure that everyone, especially the most vulnerable, has access to critical needs: shelter, health, nutrition, and education. The only way to get through this pandemic is with love and action.
It will also provide help to assist daycares, learning supplies, food and supplies for children of healthcare workers and first responders.
Rihanna also announced she is donating an additional $5 million to organizations like Feeding America, World Health Organization, and in her native land of Barbados.
