Lyft Gives Drivers Alternative Choices With New Subscription Plan
Lyft is really hoping you'll consider other means of transportation by offering a monthly subscription to its service.
According to Fox News, the All Access Plan is being rolled out nationwide this week and offers 30 rides valued up to $15 each for $299 per month.
A rider on this plan pays the difference for trips costing more than $15, and they get a five percent discount applied to any rides beyond the included 30, but any unused rides don't carry over to the next month.
Lyft claims the deal is 59 percent cheaper on average than owning and insuring a car, but based on a study from AAA, those costs can vary greatly depending on location, as can the distance Lyft gets you for $15.
