Oprah Winfrey Will Give A Viral Commencement Speech Honoring 2020 Graduates

The COVID-19 pandemic has shut down the academic school year leaving students who are members of the graduating Class of 2020 without any type of celebration.

While many school districts in East Texas are planning to celebrate graduates this year and other schools think of ways to honor their graduates, Facebook has come up with a way to honor all graduates this year at the same time in one place.

The social media giant announced their plans of a celebration to honor this year’s graduates which include a who’s who of entertainers.

Some of the speakers scheduled to appear are:

• Lil Nas X
• Simone Biles
• Jennifer Gardner

What would a graduation be without a commencement speaker? Facebook has announced Oprah Winfrey will give the commencement address.

#Graduation2020: Facebook and Instagram Celebration of the Class of 2020 will take place on May 15th and 1pm Central Standard Time and will honor high school and Colleges in the United States by name, state by state, which will include photos and messages from deans and principals across the country.
