Since the President has declared the COVID-19 a National Emergency per CNN many of Americans including myself has been crowding their local stores going into a frenzy buying toilet tissue, cleaning wipes, and food like bread, canned food, and frozen foods.

However, I noticed that there are many items left on shelves that folks aren't too interested in picking up.

According to Slate, they went on social media to see what customers are not buying and the list is pretty funny.

Things left on the shelf at the grocery store are the following:

  • Pasta made from chickpeas
  • Chocolate hummus
  • Dryer sheets
  • Dasani Water gets no love
  • Pork
  • Kidney beans
  • Vegan food

The Department of Homeland Security has given a list of items you should have during a Natural Disaster, Walmart has adjusted their hours to ensure their inventory is stocked and the store is sanitized for your safety, and Dollar General has adjusted their hours for our seniors to make sure they have the essential items to deal with the coronavirus.

Everyone's been talking about toilet paper panic buying, but what's something else that you've been surprised people are buying a lot of?
