Mardi Gras is a big party, everyone knows about it, and just about everyone loves it. It's one of the biggest, brightest, and exciting parties every year. You'll see people in colorful clothing, accessories, and masks as that is part of the fun tradition. But another fun part of Mardi Gras is the King Cake. But this newest Texas King Cake is made specifically for all of our pickle pals.

This dill-icious treat was created by the fine folks at Best Made Pickles out of Fort Worth, Texas. You can check out the recipe below and recreate your own pickle king cake, and please let us know how it goes. We've all heard of carrot cake but a pickle cake is brand new and don't knock it until you try it. It might just be the unusual food combination that hits your taste buds just right.

What Does a Normal King Cake Look and Taste Like?

A normal king cake is in the shape of a wreath, flavored with cinnamon, and covered in frosted glaze with gold, green, and purple colored sugar on top. Gold represents power, green represents faith, and purple represents justice. The cake with all three colors shows the unity of all three things. Sometimes there is a fruit or cream cheese filling, and be careful with the baby hidden inside.
