Protests Break Out In Kenosha Wisconsin After Police Shoot Unarmed Black Man

SAY HIS NAME: JACOB BLAKE!

Remember when I told you guys about my trust issues with the police?  Well this is another reason why my trust issues continue to exist because of another unarmed Black man shot by the police.

The city of Kenosha Wisconsin is in a state of unrest after ANOTHER unarmed Black man was shot SEVEN times by police on Sunday (August 23rd) around 5 p.m. and it was caught on video.

In the disturbing video it shows Blake walking to his car with his back turned while an officer is behind him with his gun drawn.  You hear at least seven shots and a car horn before the video stops according to the Associated Press.

Attorney Benjamin Crump, who is representing the family of George Floyd and now Jacob Blake said on his Twitter account shared a video saying Blake was helping to de-escalate a domestic problem and his three sons were in the car when the shooting occurred.        

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers even spoke out on the tragedy and said that he stands with all those who have and continue to demand justice, equity, and accountability for Black Lives Matter in our country.

Thankfully, Jacob has survived the shooting had surgery and is recovering in Intensive Care.  A Go Fund Me account has been set up to raise funds for medical attention, legal representation, support for his children and therapy.

As of today (August 24th) the Wisconsin Department of Justice said the officers involved in the shooting was placed on administrative leave and the case is currently being investigated.
