Report: American’s Are Getting S-T-D’s At Record Rates
We all know safe sex is the best sex!
However, if you like to gamble with your health and have unprotected sex you could be putting you and your partner at risk.
According to Time Magazine, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that sexually transmitted disease rates are at a record high for the 4th year in a row.
The data shows nearly 2.3 million cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis were diagnosed in the U.S. in 2017, which is 200,000 more cases than were diagnosed in 2016. Chlamydia is by far the most common STD, with more than 1.7 million cases diagnosed last year, but syphilis diagnoses have risen 76 percent since 2013.
Dr. Gail Bolan, director of the CDC's Division of STD Prevention said in a statment:
We are sliding backward! It is evident the systems that identify, treat, and ultimately prevent STDs are strained to near-breaking point.
When it comes to S-T-D’s in the state of Texas, we rank #15 with the highest S-T-D rates in the U.S. per an article from Insider Monkey in March.
Let's be more responsible adults and even have "the talk" with our kids about having safe sex to avoid getting an sexually transmitted disease.
In other words.....Use 'Condom Sense' and use a condom!
