Robyn Crawford Reveals Details Of Whitney Houston Love Affair In Book
Its been 7 years since the tragic death of Whitney Houston and while her estate is planning to do a hologram tour of the late great singer, her best friend Robyn Crawford is preparing to release her tell-all memoir about their secret love affair.
According to People Magazine, Robyn Crawford's book is titled "A Song For You: My Life With Whitney Houston" where she shares details of the many years they spent together as Whitney’s gatekeeper, closest confidante and most loyal protector.
But the thing that has everyone talking is that Crawford reveals in the book that they were physical romantic partners in the early 80's up until Whitney signed her record deal with Clive Davis at Arista Records.
“She said we shouldn’t be physical anymore, because it would make our journey even more difficult. She said if people find out about us, they would use this against us and back in the ’80s that’s how it felt. I kept it safe. I found comfort in my silence." - excerpt from "A Song For You: My Life With Whitney Houston by Robin Crawford via People Magazine
Crawford says that with added pressure from Whitney's family and mother, Cissy Houston, to end their relationship, the singer broke the news of their physical relationship ending by giving Crawford a gift of a slate blue Bible one day in 1982.
We never talked about labels, like lesbian or gay, We just lived our lives and I hoped it could go on that way forever. Whitney knows I loved her and I know she loved me, We really meant everything to each other. We vowed to stand by each other" - excerpt from "A Song For You: My Life With Whitney Houston by Robin Crawford via People Magazine
Crawford who is now a family fitness trainer that lives with her partner, talent agency executive Lisa Hintlemann, with whom she adopted two children says that by writing the book, she hopes to set the record straight on who Whitney truly was.
