Skip is a happy guy, but he'd be even happier having a family and a place to call his own. He's been living at Pets Fur People in Tyler for some time now and it's about time for someone to adopt this guy and give him a new permanent residence.

This four year old weighs about 90 pounds and is considered a large dog because of his size and Gayle Helms, Executive Director at Pets Fur People, believes that Skip would be best suited to live with a family that has older children. There's nothing wrong with this four-legged buddy. He's playful, energetic and seems to get along well with other dogs and cats too!

As a loving member of an active household, Skiw would enjoy taking brisk walks and really enjoys go for rides in the car. Skip is house trained and has been neutered. He is current on starting vaccinations, including rabies, and has been microchipped for identification purposes. Skip will go home with a starter kit of food, a collar and leash and a certificate for half-price basic obedience training from Tyler Obedience Training Club.

For additional information on adopting Skip call 903.597.2471 or check the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People website. Due to concerns over COVID-19, pet adoptions are currently being handled by appointments only. Check out the animals that are available for adoption. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. - closed for lunch 1 - 2 p.m. The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is the oldest brick and mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas. Pets Fur People offers dog boarding and routine vaccinations, except for rabies, to the public for dogs and cats. Follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Please be a responsible pet owner - spay or neuter your pets. Donations are appreciated.
