It is amazing in 2020 that we are STILL having a conversation about racism, white supremacy, and racial equality when it comes to African-Americans.

A list of companies have taken action of removing or changing their logos that are deemed racist or racially insensitive and now another one is changing theirs.

Good Morning America is reporting that over 100 years of the famous iconic smiling Black Chef on the box of Cream of Wheat will be removed from all packaging.

Parent company, B&G Foods in a press release made the announcement back in June that was planning to review its packaging to ensure their brands don't come off as racially insensitive.

We understand there are concerns regarding the Chef image, and we are committed to evaluating our packaging and will proactively take steps to ensure that we and our brands do not inadvertently contribute to systemic racism. B&G Foods unequivocally stands against prejudice and injustice of any kind.

If you will allow me to express how delighted I am that these brands are thinking outside the box and making that change, but I would remiss to say that there is definitely more things than changing a logo to combat racial inequality.

I would really love to see companies level the playing field by allowing qualified African-
Americans to have an opportunity to advance and have equal pay than their counterpart.

That would definitely be a stronger way to combat racism, but in the meantime I'll wait to see who want to lead the charge.
