Recently Roland Martin had Samaria Rice, the mother of Tamir Rice, on New One Now to speak about the case concerning the officers in Tamir Rice's case. They also touched on how the city of Cleveland has responded to the death of Tamir Rice, included LeBron James not sitting out a game to protest in the name of Tamir Rice.

Some people wanted LeBron to sit out a game as a protest. LeBron went on record stating that he did not have all of the facts in the case. Samaria says that it saddens her that LeBron would not wear a t-shirt or speak out about her 12 year-old son's death. While she did say, she did not expect him to sit out a game, because she understands that LeBron has to feed his children as well, but she did expect him to do something. She is quoted saying,

"Some of the other athletes, some of them have been saying something. Some of them haven't. I think they should just make a statement. I'm not asking anybody to quit their job. But make a statement for us black people out here. It's just sad that nobody's saying anything."

What do you think? Should LeBron James have protested in the name of Tamir Rice? Watch the interview, then share your opinion.
