Can you see the 10-year-old boy from Texas behind that 54-pound catfish?

Well that, my fellow angler enthusiasts, is a World Record catch for a boy his age, according to WFAA. It beats the world record by 6 pounds for a 10-year-old.

Dylan Sorrells reeled the world record fish in Lake Tawakoni in the East Dallas area, but what's amazing is that this isn't even the heaviest fish he's caught. He's had other world record catches but Dylan and his dad did not properly record those hauls - but this time, his father had all of the right equipment ready.

“I bought the right scale, everything I needed for a kit. Anytime I take him fishing, I’m going to be prepared to see if it happens again,” Chris Sorrells told WFAA.

Two years ago (at age 8) Dylan caught a 90-pound alligator gar.

A few months prior to him catching the 54-pounder, he snagged another humongous catfish. Dylan told Texas Hill Country and the news:

I'll probably remember it until I'm an old man. I learned if you keep trying you can reach it.
