If You're Having Trouble Getting Your Kids Ready For Back To School, One Of Our Local HBCU's Is Offering A Helping Hand.

The run up to "Back To School" is officially underway and our friends at Texas College is preparing to give back to the East Texas community but they would like your help if you can help.

Donations Are Needed For The Backpack & Tech Bash!

In order to pull of their mission, Texas College is asking the community to make donations of the following:

• backpacks
• college ruled paper
• pens
• pencils
• laptops
• stilus pens
• ear buds
• phone chargers
• and other tech items.

Donations can be dropped off beginning August 1 through August 10, from 8 am to 5 pm at the Texas College Sports Complex located at 1815 N Englewood Ave in Tyler.

They Will Host The Giveaway On August 12th.

On August 12th, from 1pm to 4 pm, Texas College and its sponsors will assist needy families by awarding free school supplies, tech items, and offer free haircuts to the youth of this community mainly in the North Tyler zip codes of 75702 and 75703.

Take advantage of this great opportunity to receive some help before the school year starts and if you can help donate some items to the drive, it would be greatly appreciated. Big shoutout to Texas College Director of Athletics Randy Butler and The Steers Athletic Program and its sponsors for giving back to the community!
