Texas Governor Abbott Tweets “Alcohol To Go” Could Be Permanent

We've all dealt with a lot during this pandemic, but I've always said to keep an eye out on the positive things we could get out of this situation. One of those things has been "alcohol to go" becoming "legal" in Texas.

As the state allows restaurants to reopen to 25% capacity beginning Friday, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) will continue to allow restaurants that offer "alcohol to go" sales beyond the expiration of the statewide "stay at home" order according to News 4 San Antonio. 

Texas Governor Greg Abbott confirmed the decision on Twitter and added that this may become a "permanent" fixture in Texas since its been very popular and helpful for some local restaurants to stay afloat during the crisis.
