A few weeks back, Texas hip hop legend Bun-B was in Tyler for a live concert that folks are still talking about but now Bun is the talk of the food world as the Underground King is now becoming a Burger King.

According to The Rickey Smiley Morning Show, Bun B has announced that he is opening up his own restaurant in Houston called "Trill Burgers". The hip hop legend made the announcement to his over 1 million followers on his official Instagram page.

Move over Whataburger and don't even think about it "In N Out", this might be the next big burger joint out of Texas!

The new venture is a collaborative effort in partnership with Andy Nguyen of Afters Ice Cream and the Sticky’s Chicken duo of Patsy and Benson Vivares, Bun B’s Trill Burgers will offer thin, crispy-edged patties that became popular in California in the midst of the smash burger trend.

Many of hip hop biggest stars have chimed in with support for Bun's new venture but I wonder if the "Trill Burgers" will feature burgers named after classic UGK songs and albums like the "Take It Off" Burger, it can be a "stripped down" veggie burger, or the "International Players" Burger with everything in it. Call me Bun, I got ideas.

Anyway, if you find yourself in the H-Town area, a Trill Burgers pop-up event will happen on Sunday, August 8 at Noon over at Sticky’s Chicken in Houston, if you made the drive to get "turkey legs" you can make the drive for a Trill Burger.
