East Texas Man Uses The Friendly Skies in Wedding Proposal

This guy's going to have a hard time on anniversaries after setting the bar this high! A couple from Paris, Texas is planning a wedding after Corey Shugart found a creative way to propose to his girlfriend Ashley Halliday.

According to WFAA, the high school sweethearts who've been together for five years drove two hours to Dallas to look at Christmas lights from a birds eye view with Starlight Flight, but Ashley was not expecting the surprise awaiting her during the flight.

If you think proposing to your girlfriend is tough, Corey has NEVER been on a flight before in his life, so kudos to him for getting the nerve to pull this stunt. As they flew over Frisco, Corey had Ashley’s special message waiting below, asking his high school sweetheart to “Marry Me”.

Ashley was taken by surprise as tears started to flow as Corey pulled out his engagement ring and popped the question “Will you marry me?”

Oh, I forgot to tell you that Ashley said “YES!”.
