Texas’ Most Miserable Day of the Year is Coming

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but the most miserable day of the year is right around the corner.

Software and media company Ezvid Wiki, a video wiki, polled 3,000 people and factored in average temperature and rainfall from 1980-2016 to determine the most miserable day in each state.

For Texas, the most miserable day of 2021 will be January 18. It’s expected that the temperature will be 43 degrees with 1.7 inches of rainfall. Oh yeah - and it’s a Monday to boot. 2021 isn’t off to a good start, huh?

Personally, I can’t stand the cold. And don’t even get me started on the misery of being both cold and wet. I get the chills just thinking about it.

Just north of the Red River in Oklahoma, folks can expect a miserable day on February 14. That’s right, Valentine’s Day will be the most miserable day of the year for more than just the folks who recently had their hearts ripped out by their ex. Our friends in the Sooner State can expect a high of 31 degrees and 2 inches of rain on that day. Sounds lovely! Not.

Caroline Eliasson from Ezvid Wiki says the most miserable day of the year is the perfect day to schedule a little time off:

Admittedly, no one wants to be outdoors on such cold, gloomy days, which is why it is the perfect opportunity to book the day off to spend a day in cuddled up in front of the TV. After a challenging 2020, you deserve it!
